my yogurt spit on me.

I'm turning into one of those people who blog about not knowing what to blog about.  I really have had nothing of serious significance to update you all on other than work has been crazy since the two looney toons left and I'm not sure I'm liking it.  I should be grateful I still have a position but still...

The title of this post basically means exactly what it says.  I went to eat my yogurt, and while CAREFULLY opening it, that little bugger of a breakfast meal decided it was going to SPIT it's purple contents onto my outfit this morning.  Now I smell like raspberries and spoiled milk. Yay.

I'm scrolling through my iPhone* (*speaking of iphone.. i have a story) pictures trying to come up with some good blog content, and I'm afraid if I were to update the blog solely based on phone pictures, it would be mostly about my cats* (*speaking of cats...i have a story)- but would you really be surprised?
Linus (obviously I'm glad you can all read his name tag) in his (and Peanut's) new pet bed. They love it. SCORE.

#crazycatlady status right there.

So look at that, the words "iphone" and "cats" help me come up with blog content.

The story of my [newly purchased] iPhone: So we all know I recently got my beloved iphone back into my life.  It only took 5 months, a new phone line, and some serious convincing to my husband.  Anyway, I am going to be the first one to admit that I am the Queen of Butterfingers.  As in - - I can't keep my phone in my hands for the life of me, and it's always hitting the ground, whether it be the street, the stairs, the gym floor. You name it, this phone has met it face down, sideways down, upside down. You get the point.  Well I guess my phone was on it's last leg of being thrown to the ground that it decided it didn't want to function properly after I dropped it in the gym locke room on the ceramic tile floor.  It was nice of the phone to still work, so I really shouldn't be complaining, but the home button just stopped working. Zilch, nada, it was broken.  Silly me panicked in the locker room for a good 5 minutes pressing the home button like that'd really do anything, and then I resorted to turning my phone on and off to maneuver in between different apps. It was hopeless, I was doomed.  How was I going to tell Mike I broke my phone? He would honestly kill me.  Well I told him anyway and I ended up being the one with the attitude after I repeated myself 5 times on how it became broken (I dropped it- what more is there to understand?).  Well long story short, I googled how to fix my phone (I wasn't able to)  but I was introduced to a little thing called "Assistive Touch" Did you know, fellow iphone users, that we have this function? I'm not sure it's for the clumsy phone droppers but it does work.  It's a little floating home button that is constantly on your screen.  I was so thankful for this resource.  I called Apple support, and three short days (yeah right) later, I was in the apple store an hour before being open to the public and my phone was FIXED. Hallelujah and I didn't have to pay a single cent.

The story about cats: Cats are really funny creatures. They are silly, serious, mysterious, cuddly, curious, cautious, CARNIVOROUS. Oh, did I just write carnivorous?  Yes I did.  Luckily my cat didn't eat any animals, but we sure had a close encounter last night (RIGHT IN THE LAST 15 MINUTES OF REVENGE I MIGHT ADD). So I'm really entranced in this show right, and all of a sudden out of the corner of my eye, do I see a dark little THING SCURRY across from the laundry room to behind the refrigerator. WHAT? oh my gosh WHAT WAS THAT.  OFFFFF course Linus heard, smelled and SAW This said creature.  What was it you ask?  A MOUSE.

Yes it certainly was a mouse.  I even flashed my flashlight on it's beady little eyes hiding from my cat behind the fridge.  I felt bad for the little thing.  I didn't know what to do because I had Linus practically growling at the thing, trying to stick his paw on the side of the fridge to poke it around but I feared he would kill it and eat it.  I shined the flashlight on it for what seemed to be about 10-15 minutes while me and Mike figured out what not to do to catch this thing, and then it just magically disappeared.  Where it went, we have no idea.  I looked very closely under the fridge and it definitely was not under it, oh lord I hope not.  We don't have any mouse traps and personally I don't like the idea of killing a mouse so little Mickey better not show his face again in the house or else he'll have an angry cat to answer to.

I really hope I don't get home from work today finding a dead mouse in the house either.

FRIDAY!!

Friday Favorites #2

1. I love this movie.  This might be my favorite Nicholas Sparks book-made-to-movie out of all of them.  It's a close tie with The Lucky One and Dear John.

My favorite song from this movie:
2. I'm really loving these bracelets lately.  I only have 3, but I wear them all the time.
3. As the caption reads, FINALLY. OH MY GOSH. I can't tell you how much better I feel with this little piece of technology back in my hands.  I could NOT continue on with the Galaxy.  Sorry android users, APPLE is THE BEST. And the new iOS 7? YEAH, It's the sh**.
4. This watch. (*the word "THIS" is a link to the actual one I want)  There is a friends and family sale coming up in Macy's and Michael and I might treat ourselves to new watches as our early Christmas gifts to each other.  I spied this watch on a random at the Ocktoberfest Rachel & I went to (actually she spied first) and we both were lusting over this. It's so cute in person!

5. I've gotten a lot of compliments on my lashes today at work.  I'd like to believe its the $23.00-expensive-as-hell-for-mascara I spent my money on*, but really I'm thinking it's the first time I've worn mascara since LASIK to work. And my eyes are just looking so awake and beautiful (as opposed to looking like a walking zombie like normal) So I'm convinced this is probably the best mascara I've ever laid my hands eyelashes on.

*P.S.: I really didn't spend $23.00 of my own money on this.  I had a $20 gift card to sephora, do you honestly think I would spend that much on MASCARA. Please.

Ok. maybe when I run out of it, I just may.

It really is that good.

After a whirlwind of a week, I guess it's pretty obvious that I'm ready for the weekend! Plans include: RELAXING and on Sunday I'm hosting my family over for my mom's birthday. On the menu: Penne Vodka (homemade, not that jar crap...thank you R for the recipe!), homemade meatballs in the crockpot, and a birthday cake.  OH. AND, PHOTOGRAPH the NEW office!

somebody's gotta do it.

I strongly suggest you leave this page if you are not interested in hearing me bitch and complain for about 3 minutes or however long it will take you to read this post.

You've been warned.

Pumpkin Spice Lattes - #PSL
Honestly, when the HELL did these disgusting drinks become so popular? Last fall I saw them creeping their way into the candle business and blogger business, but this year, EVERYWHERE is Pumpkin Spice this or that (candles, airfresheners, hand soaps, muffins, donuts, car scents). And at least 7 times per day, am I seeing someone take a picture of their starbucks #PSL with a shot of the "arm candy party" or whatever the heck those fashionistas are calling it, a pair of shoes and a shot of their pants on INSTAGRAM.  With 800 hashtags, you know how I feel about those hashtags.  Seriously though, after blogging last fall, I decided to give the Pumpkin spice a fair shot, I couldn't even get past the first sip.  I will take the hot apple cider, please and thank you.

eBay and their inflating iPhone prices.
Really though, who in Sam's hell gets the idea they can sell a TOTALLY SMASHED CRACKED SCREEN iphone 4 --> FOUR (not even 4S) people, for over TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS?? WHAT? Stop now. Just no.  I decided that I've had it with my Galaxy S4, and I've been searching on eBay for a used iPhone 5...the prices are beyond RIDICULOUS.  Like, I'm talking over $500 dollars, in an auction price. You don't even want to know what the "Buy it Now" price is.   Who the hell do these people think they are selling those phones at those whacked out prices? And even more so, who the hell would spend that much money on a USED phone?  P.S. I kept coming across the title *BAD ESN*... I googled this and found that these scam artists are selling their phones for an obscene amount of money, they are within their return period, and then reporting to the phone companies that their phones were stolen!  Which basically means, they are making about $300 bucks off the phone (given that they paid $200 for the new contract), and then getting a brand new phone for FREE. Jerks.

Bloggers and their Phillip Lim for Target purses.
This one really pisses me off.
First of all, I'd like to give a big thank you to all the bloggers who have successfully bought out all of the Phillip Lim purses, by the approximate hour of 8am on Sunday, September 15th in EVERY Target across America as well as their online website.  Really, I congratulate you for your Black Friday-esque plans of attack on these bags.  Is it me, or do you feel every blogger (but me and maybe you) have these purses?? People, really though, what was the big deal with these bags? They aren't even real leather, and its a PURSE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.   GET OVER IT!  In fact, I'm so riled up about the hype and aftermath of these purses that I hope your damn strap breaks and you have to return it to the store and then you'll be shit out of luck because they are all gone. (And I can promise you--this is not jealousy, AT ALL..before you even start thinking that).
And a note to those of you who purchased 800 of them in one shopping spree, and are now selling them on eBay (curiosity got the best of me), at RIDICULOUS PRICES, WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!?!?  Shit like that should be illegal, I'm sorry.  And for those of you people who actually buy ANYONE's TARGET BAG on Ebay or instagram, or wherever the hell else these people are selling them, for anything more than $10 dollars more than the original price... you are dumb.

The End.

Now that I've gotten that crap off my chest, I can blog about how fabulous my weekend was.

Or not.

I'm choosing not to, because quite frankly, it sucked.  And the Giants lost. REAL BAD. I was actually ashamed to be wearing a shirt with their name on it in the store after the game.

However, I am excited for Sleepy Hollow though tonight.  Did anyone watch or DVR it? It was very interesting and creepy!

Have a great day ladies.
